History of the School

The School of Aerospace Sciences was established in 2009. The school is the first in East and Central Africa to teach students Aerospace Sciences. The school has been inspected by Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) for registration as an Aviation Training Organization (ATO). The school has collaborations with East African School of Aviation (EASA) and Oklahoma State University.

The school is located along the Eldoret - Kapsabet road.

The first dean of the school was Prof. Peter Torongey.
